XBox Craps on PS5 by Buying Bethesda Games for $7.5 Billion
Microsoft announced today they're buying ZeniMax, the parent company of Bethesda Game Studios, for $7.5 billion. Bethesda is known for games like the Fallout series and the latest Doom Eternal
That sale price of $7.5 billion is not only the biggest acquisition in video game history. It shows how valuable the gaming sector is and will continue to be, considering that Disney bought the Star Wars franchise for $4 billion.
The funny thing is, a lot of gamers are freaking out worrying that Bethesda will end up making its games exclusive for XBox, despite them saying they will never do this. They're freaking out over nothing.
This just shows how savvy Microsoft is. Now that XBox owners will be able to play Bethesda games with their $10/month Game Pass, and with XBox Series X pre-orders starting this week, XBox is poised to slap Sony across the face hard.
